We all love our pets and we especially love our dogs because they are like members of the family. It is hard to leave them behind when you go on vacation. Now you don't have to! There are two dog parks open on Pensacola Beach plus there are many pet-friendly condos and houses available to rent.
The dog parks are open May 1 - Oct. 31 from 7 a.m. to sunset and Nov. 1 to April 30 from sunrise to sunset. These designated dog beaches are located at lots 21.5 and 28.5, all other public beach areas and parks are off limits to pets. Park West is down Fort Pickens Road in Lot B, the first parking lot past the last Gulf condos and Park East is Lot E, which is the first parking lot past Portofino. Of course you have to follow the dog park rules like your pet must be on a leash. Your dog must have proper tags on their leash or collar and you must clean up after your pets. Violators will be cited by Escambia County Animal Control Officers.
Don't leave your poor pooch at home! Bring him or her to the BEACH! They will love it and you will love having your best friend with you.
